Tropical Tiger F2 is a striking Capsicum baccatum hybrid that loads compact-to-medium plants with slim, pendant pods painted in bold tiger striping. Fruits average about 3 inches long and ~½ inch wide, with thin walls that roast, dehydrate, and pickle beautifully while keeping a sweet, tropical aroma. Heat lands mild to mid-range for a baccatum—roughly 3,000–15,000 SHU—so you get lively flavor without overwhelming a dish. Expect excellent productivity and a bright, citrus-leaning bite reminiscent of Sugar Rush–type stripes; many growers note a distinctly fruity finish. Because this is F2, traits can still segregate (striping intensity, exact color progression, and heat), making it a fun selection project for containers or beds. Harvest at full color for maximum sweetness, or slightly early for a crisper snap and a touch more zing. Frequent picking keeps blossoms rolling and pods coming through warm weather. If you want a showpiece pepper that also shines in the kitchen, Tropical Tiger F2 earns its stripes.
