Micro Gold is a University of Florida miniature dwarf that brought golden fruit color to the smallest tomato class. Selected as a yellow companion to Micro Tom, it flowers and sets at very short stature and remains compact for the life of the plant. Fruits are small, round cherries with mild, sweet flavor that brighten mixed bowls and snack plates. Grow in bright light with even moisture and a light potting mix to keep the tiny canopy blooming. A historical micro cultivar often used in modern breeding and evaluations of compact growth. Fruits shine in both fresh salads and slow‑simmered sauces where their natural balance comes forward. Plants respond well to consistent moisture and mulching, which helps reduce blossom‑end stress and keeps fruit quality high. Give sturdy support and prune lightly to maintain airflow and make harvest easier as clusters build.
