KS Yellow Flame

KS Yellow Flame is Khang Starr’s “flame-torch” phenotype that keeps the look and bite of KS Orange Flame but matures to a bright yellow finish. The variety comes from a Thai-type × StarrRacha cross, so fruits carry that sweet-citrus snap with a notable chinense kick. Pods are slim, ridged, and very seed-light, and when you hold them upright by the stem they really do resemble little torches—great for plate appeal as well as garden color. Plants are vigorous and extremely prolific with room to branch, often loading up most heavily as late-summer weather cools a bit. In the kitchen, the heat lands in the habanero class but with a clean, citrusy profile that shines in quick sautés, salsas, and bright yellow chili oils. Thin walls blister fast on a hot pan and dry cleanly for sunny, aromatic flakes. Give them sun, even moisture, and frequent harvests to keep waves of blossoms coming.
